After 75hrs... We are Funded!!!!!!! next goal at 6k
over 3 years ago – Sat, Sep 26, 2020 at 02:59:13 AM

Hooooooooray! We are funded!! That means we are able to print Neko Harbour: The Card Game!

Originally, i would release the game before Essen Spiel in October, but because of the difficult year impacted by the pandemic, i couldn't  catch the event. And i decided to slow down my pace to make the game even better. So i had more time to playtest the game, to draw the illustrations and to plan more details about everything. I thank you for all of your support and all the helps from my friends. Without you, i couldn't make it. It's amazing. :)

Not only we passed the funding goal, now we are close to next stretch goal as well! If we funded 6k, we will upgrade the box inlay. Instead of paper tray, we will use plastic tray with proper storage. That makes the cards easier to sort and store.

Next, the draft rules without layout is coming soon! I will post within next two days. Welcome to give me your feedback about the project and the game. I will value them and try to improve the game and make the game even better.

Again, thanks everyone who supported the game! We see next update soon.

A Thrilling first day: Over 65% funded. Cover sketch
over 3 years ago – Wed, Sep 23, 2020 at 11:27:21 AM

First of all, thanks everyone who backed Neko Harbour: The Card Game in first day! Now we have passed 65% and i believe we will get funded soon.

Next, i will release the drafting rules soon on Sunday. Since i'm still revising some sentences, it would be better to share it after finishing the revising. And also about the tutor video. It will be released next week.

There's a question that some of you might ask if you can add A Pleasant Journey to Neko after the campaign. The answer is yes or no. Since the game has out of print and i have only less than 10 copies with me, it's probably cannot fulfill the requests. Let's hope we will have new version one day soon.

Lastly, i want to share with you the cover sketch. To make an attractive cover is not an easy thing. I was thinking how to combine "Cards" and "Penguins" in an image. For sure, Neko Harbour itself must be the background but how to "assemble" them together is really a big question. From the sketch you might notice that there are more penguins in the image. But in the end i decided to make the image clean. So i deleted other penguins. I hope you like how it looks :)

I will share more stories and game play about Neko Harbour: The Card Game through each update. I hope you enjoy what i have presented so far. Don't hesitate to give me feedback if any. We see next post :)

Cheers,
